JMA and its employees focus their company related charitable and volunteer efforts in support of three local organizations selected by the employees as organizations they wish to assist on a continuing basis.

Special Care

The Jeffrey and Theresa McDougall Autism Clinic
In Oklahoma, and nationally, there is a lack of highly trained early childhood autism educators. In response, Jeffrey & Theresa McDougall privately funded the growth of Special Care, Inc.’s Autism Clinic in Oklahoma City. The $100,000 gift allowed Special Care to provide free behavior therapy to the children who are on the autism spectrum over a multi-year period. It also covers the cost of a behavior therapist and allowed the therapist to receive additional training including an invitation only to the Carbone Clinic in New Jersey. Special Care was able to design the clinic with a specific approach in mind and it provides equipment and materials to best serve the students.

Special Care Children & JMA Employees
Special Care, Inc. offers year-round childhood education, therapy, after school and summer programs for children with special needs from ages 6 weeks to high school seniors.  JMA has provided monetary and volunteer support to Special Care for a number of years.  JMA employees enjoy a wonderful relationship with the children at Special Care, Inc.  Each Christmas JMA employees pool their resources to purchase gifts for over 160 children and then accompany Santa Claus to Special Care to spend an afternoon opening presents and celebrating the holiday with the children and their families.

Infant Crisis Center

Infant Crisis Services provides life-sustaining support, including formula, food, diapers and clothing to babies and toddlers in time of crisis. Each individual is treated with compassion, respect and without judgment.  Infant Crisis Services also serves to connect families with other helping agencies and self-sufficiency programs.

The Center professes that “No baby should go hungry,” and we agree. That’s why we support the center through financial contributions as well as drives to collect items needed to serve the city’s neediest infants and toddlers in times of crisis.

One of our favorite projects in support of Infant Crisis Center is the “Bedlam for Babies” drive held by JMA employees where donations of baby supplies are categorized by whether a JMA employee supports Oklahoma University or Oklahoma State University. The competition is intense!

City Rescue Mission

City Rescue Mission is a faith-based, private, nonprofit organization providing solution-based ministry to homeless men, women and children in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area.  City Rescue Mission offers hope, clothing, food and retreat options for those in impoverished conditions.

JMA and its employees give their time, talents and money to support the great work of the City Rescue Mission which in turn gives help, hope and healing to the homeless.

JMA employees have hosted the children’s Christmas party at the mission, taking them cookies and making arts and crafts with the children who stay there.  Employees have also funded and provided the hands-on work of renovating the entire nursery at the mission including a themed mural, new carpet, and other improvements.
